Preparing for 2008
I’m currently watching over my son, Johann. My family — Me, Maia and Johann will be greeting the New Year of 2008 from my Auntie Bot’s house in Hillsborough. While I watch johann sleep soundly in the bed, I can’t help but smile.
My son represents a huge part of my personality — my Maturity. Ever since he was born, I have learned various things about being a dad and how to become a responsible husband and father. While I cannot claim yet that I am “there” I know I am getting there. Then suddenly one of my cousins enters the room and says “We’re gonna watch Transformers (The Movie), wanna watch with us?”. Now being the guy that loves movies with excellent Computer Generated graphics / animations, it will only be natural for me to just go get Maia and ask her to look after little Johann, while I watch Transformers. But instead, I glanced at my son, and turned to my cousin and said “No Thanks, I’ll watch over Hanns pa (Hanns is Johann’s nickname)”.
After my cousin left, i continued looking over Johann while he sleeps. I had to smile and wiped a small tear from my eye. 2008 is going to be a great year for my Family. For me, for Maia and especially for little Johann. I know my family will be thoroughly blessed by God. So I wanted to prepare this blog (again) for the upcoming 2008. So that I may be best father, husband and son this 2008!
